Many work processes generate excessive waste. Here are five tips that reduce waste which can be adopted easily:

• Reduce transportation fuel usage. Provide telecommuting flexibility and incentives for walking, biking and carpooling employees.
• Recycle. Paper, aluminum and certain plastics are the main recycling candidates.
• Buy paper made with recycled content.
• Use 'Energy Star' compliant appliances. You'll save energy and money.
• Turn down the lights. This lowers the electric bill, generates less heat, and reduces your summer cooling costs.
