Dear
E-Myth Reader,
Business challenges exist at all stages of development, but a new business will confront issues different from a mature operation. Where in the development cycle is your business? Check out our blog
article The Small Business Cycle and post your comments.
The Stages of Business
The stages of business development parallel the stages of human development. In an infant business, the owner is likely to be doing all the work alone, regardless of the toll on his or her personal life.
As initial work pays off, employees are hired and the business grows into adolescence. New issues may arise; product quality may be inconsistent, employees may lack motivation, and lead generation efforts may not produce results.
Reaching maturity takes a clear vision, a level head and standard operating procedures. Learn more in the blog article The Small Business Cycle.
